Texas Recalls Defenseman Ludwig From Idaho

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced Tuesday that defenseman Trevor Ludwig has been recalled from the Idaho Steelheads, Texas' ECHL affiliate.
Ludwig started the season with Texas, going scoreless in two games prior to his assignment to the ECHL on Oct. 23. The 24-year old played in 11 games for Idaho, scoring two goals and adding four assists for six points. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder also added 24 penalty minutes with the Steelheads this season. In 35 games with Idaho in 2008-09, Ludwig scored twice and added eight assists for ten points. The Grapevine, TX native also suited up in 16 games for the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season, going scoreless with 18 penalty minutes.
The Dallas Stars drafted Ludwig in the sixth round (#183 overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Ludwig is the son of former NHLer Craig Ludwig, who played for the Dallas Stars, Minnesota North Stars, Montreal Canadiens and N.Y. Islanders.
Texas continues a five-game road swing Wednesday, November 18th at Rockford. Texas will return home to host the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday, November, 25th at 7:30 and then again on Friday, November, 27th at 7:30 pm. Cedar Park Center will host College Discount Night, providing $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. Fans who present a college ID will receive a discount for either game. On Friday, the first 2,000 fans will receive a Texas Stars t-shirt.
