Panthers Reassign Beckford-Tseu To Florida Everblades

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Vice President of Hockey Operations Ted Nolan announced today that the Florida Panthers have reassigned goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Beckford-Tseu will rejoin the Everblades as the team prepares to host the Reading Royals on Wednesday, November 18th at Germain Arena. Faceoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. The 6-foot-2, 201-pound netminder leaves Rochester after seeing time in the Amerks' 6-3 loss to the Portland Pirates last Thursday. He entered the game in a relief effort and finished the contest with 26 saves. In one game this season with the Amerks, Beckford-Tseu shows a 2.32 goals-against average and a.900 save percentage.

The 25-year-old, Toronto, Ontario, native has appeared in three games with the Everblades this season and boasts a 1-1-1 record with a 2.59 goals-against average and a.912 save percentage. His only win came in the form of a 28-save shutout in Florida's 7-0 whitewash over the Charlotte Checkers on November 5th.

Rochester's only night of action this week will be on Friday, November 20thas the Syracuse Crunch make their fourth visit this season to The Blue Cross Arena. The 7:05 p.m. contest will be the fifth of 10 scheduled meetings this season between the longtime rivals and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK and FM 107.3, Rochester's Sports Talk. Fans can also tune in to watch the game live on Channel 98. The Amerks, who have outscored Syracuse 14-6 this season, own a perfect 4-0-0-0 record against their archrivals, which includes a flawless 3-0-0-0 record on home ice. The Amerks are 86-75-15 all-time against the Columbus Blue Jackets' affiliate.
