Wave Launches Training Academy At NX Level

November 16, 2009 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Milwaukee Wave

MILWAUKEE (Nov. 16, 2009) - The Milwaukee Wave Training Academy opens next month at NX Level Athletics in Hartland, offering three sessions of elite soccer instruction for serious players.

Wave Head Coach Keith Tozer and Wave players will focus these 90-minute sessions on technical skill, agility and fitness. Players will emerge with greater confidence on the ball, new levels of fitness and better first-step quickness.

The Wave Training Academy offers three four-week programs, all on Saturdays, beginning Dec. 12. Goalkeeper training also will be conducted by Wave goalkeepers Nick Vorberg and Marcel Feenstra, and goalkeeper coach Mark Litton.

"The Wave Training Academy is a natural extension of the summer soccer camp program," Tozer said. "Serious players will grow quickly thanks to the futsal training techniques and knowledge they'll gain from professional players and coaches."

NX Level Athletics features a 50-yard field turf surface; a 60-yard, four-lane track; and the latest in workout equipment. Parents are invited to use the fitness center while their athletes are involved in the training. NX Level in Hartland is located at 1055 Cottonwood Avenue.

Sessions are $120 each. Purchase all three sessions up front and receive a $60 discount for a total of $300. To register, visit milwaukeewave.com and download the registration form under Camps and then Training Academy, or call 414-224-9283.

The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running soccer franchise in continuous operation in the United States. The team celebrated its Silver Anniversary last season, and operates the largest summer soccer camp program in Wisconsin. For more information, visit milwaukeewave.com.
