Milwaukee, WI- The Milwaukee Admirals rolled to a 4-1 victory Thursday evening at the Bradley Center over the Abbotsford Heat. After losing the first three match up against the Heat this season the Ads scored three unanswered goals in the final two periods to go on to the win.Milwaukee went ahead at 8:57 of the opening period as Cal O'Reilly set up Dave Scatchard for the first goal when Heat netminder Leland Irving was caught awkwardly out of the net. Scott Ford also assisted on the play goal.
Carsen Germyn back handed his penalty shot over the blocker of Milwaukee goalie Mark Dekanich to knot up the game at one with 2:10 left in the first. Germyn intercepted the puck at the blue line and broke in on Ads goalie Mark Dekanich. Scatchard was back checking on the play, dove and knocked Germyn off his feet rewarding the Heat forward with the penalty shot.
At 12:57 of the second period the Ads took the lead for good when Triston Grant turned just below the blue line and fired the puck on Irving. Irving was unable to corral the puck and it crossed the goal line giving Grant his second goal of the season. Ben Guite and Robert Dietrich were given helpers on the game winning goal.
A mere 26 seconds later Milwaukee's Hugh Jessiman received an outlet pass from Jonathon Blum, and gave a beautiful deke that beat Irving before the PA announcer could announce the previous goal. The goal was Jessimans second marker of the season and Blum's fifth assist of the year.
The Ads capped off the scoring when Mark Matheson ripped a slap shot from the blue line passed Irving to give Milwaukee a three goal lead at 4:21 of the third. Guite picked up his second assist on the play and Grant collected his second point of the game with the other assist.
Dekanich stopped twenty-two shots in his fifth win of the season, while Irving turned away twenty shots in a losing effort.
The Admirals start an eight game road trip Friday night when they travel to Grand Rapids to battle the Griffins. Milwaukee isn't home again until December 2 when the Peoria Rivermen come to the Bradley Center.
