Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that DL Ben McCombs and WR Terry Moss have been added to the 2010 roster.McCombs, 6-4 270, played a key role in Spokane's 2009 ArenaCup Championship run. In addition to leading the af2 in sacks (15.5) last season, McCombs became the all-time sack leader with 60 sacks over his four-year af2 career.
"I'm excited to take my game to the next level and the fact that I can stay here in Spokane to do that is just a bonus," McCombs explained. "This is a beautiful area and the people are great here, so I really couldn't ask for much more."
Moss, 5-10 195, spent the 2008 season with the New York Dragons. In six games with the Dragons, Moss collected 15 receptions with two touchdowns and 579 all-purpose yards.
Prior to joining the Dragons, Moss enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at Ball State that was capped with an invitation to play in the 2006 Hula Bowl All-Star game. While at Ball State, Moss collected 75 receptions for 1,219 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a kick returner, he returned 77 kicks for 1,524 yards (19.79 yards/return) with one touchdown. These numbers helped Moss get the attention of the Detroit Lions who signed him to a free agent contract in 2007. He was released later that year in training camp.
"Terry Moss has world-class speed and an uncanny ability to elude defenders," Head Coach Rob Keefe said. "We are really excited for Terry to help continue our winning tradition here in Spokane."
With the addition of Moss and McCombs, the Shock's 2010 roster now stands at six players.
