The Saskatoon Blades will be paying respect to all those who served and will be showing appreciation to all those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces and Emergency Services professions during the Saturday November 7th home game vs. the Prince Albert Raiders.The evening will begin with a special ceremonial puck drop with representation from individuals who have served in WWII, the Korean War, UN Peace Keeping missions as well as the current Afghanistan missions. The ceremonial puck drop will be followed by a moment of silence.
A specially designed jersey will be worn on November 7th to salute all those who have served and/or are currently serving in the Armed Forces and Emergency Service fields. These remembrance jerseys will be auctioned off at the game with all proceeds going to the tri-Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Saskatoon.
All veterans and current military & emergency services personnel can enjoy the game for $10 (Tax & service charges included). Simply show proper ID at time of purchase. All veteran and current military & emergency service personnel are also encouraged to dress in uniform for the game so to be acknowledged.
