Storm To Offer Free Tickets To Veterans, Military

November 5, 2009 - United States Hockey League (USHL) Tri-City Storm

KEARNEY, NE - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League will be hosting Military Appreciation Night on Veterans Day. Wednesday, November 11th the Storm play the Omaha Lancers at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney and the game presentation will be directed towards honoring active military, as well as veterans of the United States military.

The Storm is inviting all military personnel and veterans out to the game and offering them complimentary tickets when they show their military I.D.

"Everyone should use Veterans Day as an opportunity to say 'thanks' to area veterans as well as our active military," stated Director of Marketing and Game Operations Kyle Means. "Offering free tickets to those men and women who have protected our freedom is our way of thanking them for their courageous efforts."

Additional features of the Military Appreciation game include the presentation of the colors by the University of Nebraska-Kearney ROTC color guard and a special recognition of military families during the first intermission.

Furthermore, it will be another Coca-Cola Dollar Deal night at the Viaero Event Center, where fans can purchase a hotdog and a coke for only one dollar.

Miniature U.S. flags will also be handed out at the door to the first 800 fans in attendance. Fans can reserve their seats in advance by calling 308-338-8011 or visiting www.stormhockey.com.
