The Great Lakes Loons are pleased to announce several changes in the front office staff. The changes include reorganizing resources and adding staff members to strengthen the efforts of the operations, sales, marketing, communications and promotions departments."This reorganization gives us an opportunity to improve the overall fan experience through better use of our resources," said Paul Barbeau, Loons President and General Manager. "It also gives us the chance to continue to develop our staff, who have done a terrific job over the first three years of our franchise's existence. We want to be able to continue to offer them opportunities to grow along with the team."
Matt McQuaid has been promoted to Vice President - Facilities & Operations. Matt will continue to oversee all aspects of the maintenance and improvement of Dow Diamond. In addition, he will oversee the Loons food and beverage partnership with Professional Sports Catering.
Chris Mundhenk has been promoted to Vice President - Marketing & Entertainment. Chris will oversee all marketing and communications efforts for the Loons, the Michigan Baseball Foundation, Dow Diamond and ESPN 100.9 FM. Mundhenk will also continue in his role overseeing the Loons overall promotions and entertainment efforts.
Scott Litle has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President-Corporate Partnerships & Event Operations. In his new role, Scott will lead the sales and service efforts of Loons sponsorships and season suites, ESPN 100.9 FM and Dow Diamond special events. Litle will continue to oversee operations during Loons games and other events.
Tammy Brinkman has been promoted to Vice President-Finance. Brinkman will manage all financial operations for the Great Lakes Loons, ESPN 100.9 FM, Dow Diamond and the Michigan Baseball Foundation, focusing on all profit centers to provide reporting, support and analysis.
Jamie Start has been promoted to Director of Accounting. Start will work closely with Brinkman, managing all accounts payable and receivable for the Great Lakes Loons and ESPN 100.9 FM, in addition to other accounting functions.
Jerry O'Donnell has been named General Manager of ESPN 100.9 FM. O'Donnell's responsibilities will include supervision of all aspects of the radio station and working closely with the sales staff to maximize the impact of ESPN 100.9 FM in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Patti Tuma has been promoted to Assistant General Manager-Business Operations for the Great Lakes Loons and Director of Programs and Fund Development for the Michigan Baseball Foundation. Tuma's role will include supporting office administration for the Loons and overseeing Michigan Baseball Foundation growth through various fundraising efforts including the annual Swing with the Loons golf outing. Tuma will also manage the MBF grant process.
Ann Craig, Assistant GM - Retail Operations & Guest Services, will fill an expanded role on the Loons staff. Additional responsibilities include development of standard retail operating procedures which will be offered as part of a consulting package to other Minor League Baseball teams.
Lance LeFevre has been promoted to the position Assistant General Manager - Ticket Sales. In this role, Lance will be active in ticket sales and lead the sales and customer service efforts of the entire ticket department.
Chris Lones has been promoted to Assistant General Manager - Production & Entertainment. Chris will continue his current duties which include directing the video board and close-circuit television production and in-game entertainment. Additional responsibilities include directing and producing all Loons television creative and the scheduling and planning of Loons promotions.
Linda Uliano has been promoted to Director of Promotions. Linda's responsibilities will include taking on a larger role in the scheduling and planning of all Loons promotions and entertainment. In addition, Uliano will work closely with the group sales staff on integrating entertainers and theme nights into group sales opportunities.
Korrey Shoup has accepted the position of Director of Ticket Package Sales, focusing on new and renewal sales of Loons ticket packages.
Tiffany Seward has accepted the position of Director of Ticket Group Sales, focusing on ticket sales to a variety of group target markets and leading the efforts of an additional group sales person.
Heather Jones has accepted the position of Director of Ticket Operations, focusing on ticket office management and sales of Dow Diamond's various group rental areas.
In addition to the internal reorganization, three former Loons employees and interns have accepted positions with the organization.
Emily Schafer has accepted the position of Director of Corporate Partnerships. Emily will focus on sponsorship sales and service will also be involved with all ESPN 100.9 FM sales.
Jessica Olpere has accepted the position of Group Sales Coordinator. Jesse's focus will be on marketing group outings to a wide variety of organizations including schools, churches, youth sports, service clubs, scouts and others.
Kevin Schunk has accepted the position of Account Executive within the ticket sales department. Kevin's responsibilities include marketing a wide variety of ticket packages to local businesses and households.
