Pair of games cancelled by H1N1 :As a preventative measure and on the advice of QMJHL head physician Dr. Sylvain Boutet and the Wildcats team Doctor Martin Robichaud, League Commissioner Gilles Courteau announced Wednesday morning the cancellation of the Wildcats two home games for tonight and tomorrow night. Two members of the team have been confirmed with H1N1, they are at home, and no one has been hospitalized. Other players and members of the team's staff have shown symptoms and will be quarantined for the next seven days.
The major concern of the Wildcats organization is the health and safety of all of the players.
The Wildcats apologize for the inconvenience caused by the postponement of the games on November 1st, 5th and 6th. Season ticket holders may hold their tickets for the rescheduled games or redeem them for any regular season game including weekends. Three options are available for general purchase tickets, (1) Hold your tickets for rescheduled games. (2) Exchange the tickets at the Coliseum Box Office for any other regular season game, including weekends or (3) return the tickets to the Coliseum Box Office for a full refund.
Group bookings, birthdays and other special events will be contacted directly and accommodated in the best possible manner.
Cat's Corner groups and 7th players will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
"Art on Ice" underway:
Art on Ice, got a rousing start on Wednesday morning at Magnetic Hill School. Wildcats mascot Wild Willie, was a big hit with the grade 1 to 4 students. School District 2 and the Community Schools have partnered with the Wildcats and Downtown Moncton Inc. to help raise funds in support of the Breakfast Program.
Students from five schools, Beaverbrook, Forest Glen, Magnetic Hill, Shediac Cape, Port Elgin and Marshview will show their creativity in painting and collage. The artwork will be on display at Wildcats home games and auctioned during December. All proceeds from the auction will go back to the schools and help support their breakfast programs. The successful bidders for the Art on Ice creations will be announced at the game on December 31st between the Wildcats and the Saint John Sea Dogs.

A pleasant update on our Tuesday story regarding the donation to Mobile One raised from the players Pumpkin carving, the donation now stands at $416.00 up from the $250.00 we reported on Tuesday. The Wildcats thank the Bowmans of Jardieneville, near Rexton, for donating the pumpkins and all of the fans who supported the Mobile One cause.

Moustaches are starting to show:
It's Movember and the moustaches are starting to show. Movember is a month long program where players and male staff grow "stachs" and raise money in support of Prostate Cancer research. Now in its second year, it's another of the many community causes, the Wildcats enjoy supporting. If you'd like to join our Movember team called Moncton Wildcats go to http://ca.movember.com/register/35961
Condolences:
The Wildcats family wishes to express their condolences to the families of Albert "Abb" MacGregor and Bryon Burgoyne. Both these two gentlemen were long time season ticket holders and great fans of the Wildcats. We honor their memory and trust the families will take comfort in knowing the Wildcats share their loss.
Cat of the Day:
Hockey historian Ron Leger is our pick this time around. Ron has one of the best collections of hockey memorabilia in Canada. Part of it was on display at the 2006 Memorial Cup. Contained in his collection is the history of the Wildcats from day one, right up to their last game. If you get a chance, have a chat with Ron at Wildcats home games, you'll find him on the Mezzanine. He's a walking encyclopedia of hockey knowledge.
Quote of the Day:
"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, as long as ever you can." JohnWesley.
