Havoc Wins Home Opener

November 2, 2009 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Huntsville Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Havoc opened the 2009-10 home schedule with an impressive 4-1 win over the Fayetteville FireAntz in front of 5,269 fans this past Friday night.

Friday, October 30 - Huntsville 4, Fayetteville 1

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Mark Sibbald made 32 saves on 33 shots as the Huntsville Havoc scored a 4-1 win over the Fayetteville Fire Antz in front of 5,269 fans in the home opener for the Havoc.

Bill McCreary scored a powerplay goal with 12:29 left in the first period. Travis Kauffeldt added a penalty shot goal with 4:21 left in the first as the Havoc held a 2-0 lead at the end of one.

Justin Rohr made the scored 3-0 when he found the back of the net just 3:54 into the third. B.J. Radovich made it 4-0 just over a minute later.

Fayetteville scored it's only goal with :43 seconds left in the game on a powerplay goal by former Havoc forward, Steve Cooke.

Friday, November 6 - The first 1,500 fans will receive the first set of Havoc Trading Cards courtesy of the Children's Hospital, Rocket 95.1, Fox 54 and Colonial Printing. Players on the first set of cards will be Travis Kauffeldt, Ray Ortiz and B.J. Radovich.
