HICKORY, N.C. - The Hickory Crawdads, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, have announced the details of the Crawdads "CARE" Campaign. The "CARE" Campaign is set to kick off on Wednesday, Nov. 4.Every Wednesday during the offseason, the Crawdads are going to visit different places of business throughout the community from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. At each location, undated ticket vouchers will be on sale for $5. The vouchers can be used in any quantity and are good for all games during the 2010 season excluding the July 3rd Fireworks Show and Christian Concert. The Crawdads will then donate 50% of the day's proceeds back to a pre-selected charity or non-profit organization.
The Crawdads are commencing the "CARE" Campaign this Wednesday at Galaxy Foods Center, located at 2515 Springs Rd., to benefit the March of Dimes. The second stop for the "CARE" Campaign will be on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Lazy Dog Smokehouse & Saloon, located at 2710 N. Center St., to benefit American Cancer Society. Everyone is invited to join the Crawdads at the above locations to help raise funds for the charitable organizations.
"This is a great opportunity to reach out to our community partners, and to help give them support in their efforts to make a difference," said Crawdads Assistant General Manager Charlie Downs. "We're always looking for ways to try to give back to our community, and we're very excited about this new 'CARE' Campaign."
