October 29, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL) San Antonio Rampage

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-assigned defenseman Sean Sullivan to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.

Sullivan, 25, has recorded 2-8-10 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in eight games for San Antonio this season. At the time of his recall on Oct. 23, his 10 points on the season led the Rampage and ranked T-3rd in the AHL. Sullivan, who did not appear in a game with the Coyotes during his recall, was also named the AHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11, 2009. Last season, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound Sullivan recorded 9-23-32 and 24 PIM in 65 games with San Antonio to lead all Rampage defensemen in scoring.

In parts of four seasons with San Antonio, Sullivan has registered 11-39-50 and 43 PIM in 114 games. He also collected 9-16-25 and 19 PIM in 22 games with the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League (CHL) during the 2007-08 season. Prior to his professional career, the Boston, Massachusetts native played four seasons with Boston University, recording 9-34-43. Sullivan was a 2007 Hockey East First Team All-Star and received the league's Old Time Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman award while also serving as team captain.

Sullivan was drafted by the Coyotes in the 9th round (272nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
