The Rochester Red Wings today announced that team mascot Spikes will celebrate his 13th birthday with the entire French Road Elementary School on Friday, November 6th from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. who actually turns 13 on Saturday, November 7th, will be joined by mascot Mittsy, and Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason.As part of the festivities students from French Road Elementary School will sing happy birthday to Spikes, selected instrumentalist from French Road Elementary School will play a Wings Cheer song that will prompt the kids to chant Lets Go Wings, and Spikes will be presented with a birthday gift.
The French Road Elementary School Ensembles grade Chorus, 5th Chorus, Orchestra, and Red and Blue Bands) have performed the National Anthem prior to a Red Wings game at Frontier Field 11 straight seasons and has had the largest school group at Frontier Field each of those 11 years.
Its hard to believe that Spikes is already 13. We look forward to celebrating his big day with the students, faculty and staff at French Road Elementary who have been some of Spikes biggest fans since he few into our lives, said Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason.
