CHARLOTTE, NC - The SPHL announced that Knoxville forward David Segal has been
suspended three games as a result of his actions in SPHL Game #7 vs. Huntsville on October 24. Segal jumped an opposing player directly off a faceoff and gouged his eye during an altercation at 16:50 of the third period. He was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting, a game misconduct and a match penalty.
He is suspended under Rule 29.1. - Supplemental Discipline.
Segal will miss Knoxville's game vs. Fayetteville (October 29) and at Columbus (October 30 & 31).
