(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, are pleased to announce that Anthony Skiba from Wickliffe and his Jake are the grand prize winners of the "Trick or Treat with Skipper" sweepstakes, presented by The News-Herald. The sweepstakes was open to parents/guardians of children 12 years of age or younger who reside within 25 miles of Eastlake, Ohio. The Captains received nearly 250 entries for the contest. Skipper will join Jake and his friends and family for a fun night of Trick or Treating on Halloween."Skipper is thrilled to be able to join one lucky fan for the first time this Halloween and trick-or-treat throughout their neighborhood," said Captains Director of Promotions Jonathan Levey. "Normally he is cooped up in a closet for this holiday so naturally he jumped at the opportunity to get out in a local neighborhood and have some fun on Halloween!"
Discounted full season tickets plans, 12-, 20-, and 35-game mini ticket plans for the 2010 season are on sale now and information can be found at the Captains website www.CaptainsBaseball.com.
The Captains will join the Midwest League in 2010 and will open the season at Classic Park on Thursday April 8 at 6:30 pm versus the West Michigan Whitecaps, the class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
