Kernel fans can own their very own piece of Cedar Rapids baseball history as the Kernels are selling their game-worn home jerseys, starting at the World Series Party on Thursday, October 29th.These jerseys were purchased prior to the 2007 season, and have seen three years of MWL action. Each jersey shows various amounts of game wear, depending on the amount of use. All jerseys button up the front, with all logos and numbers sewn onto the jersey.
Your first chance to buy 2009 game-worn home jerseys will be during the Kernels World Series Party on Thursday, October 29th starting at 6:00 pm in the Bimm Ridder Diamond Shop. Each jerseys sells for $125, plus tax and include a letter of authenticity (LOA) from the Kernels.
The remaining jerseys go on sale to the general public at 10 am on Friday, October 30th on a first-come, first-serve basis by calling Scott Wilson at (319) 896-7612 to place your order. Phone ordered jerseys will be $125, plus tax (7%) and a $5 shipping charge. Selected game worn jerseys will be sold on Ebay, starting October 30th with a list and links available at www.kernels.com .
Admission to the World Series party is FREE with food and beverage a la carte. Reservations are NOT needed, so bring your family and friends for a great night of World Series baseball on Thursday, October 29th, starting at 6:00 pm.
The Cedar Rapids Kernels open their ninth season in Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 8th at 6:35 pm against the Beloit Snappers.
