HICKORY, N.C. - Although it's not baseball season, the Hickory Crawdads are inviting everyone to come down to L.P. Frans Stadium and celebrate the fall season at the 'Dads Autumn Bash. The Autumn Bash is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., and is free to attend.The Crawdads will be ushering in Autumn with numerous fall-themed activities, including horse-drawn carriage rides from Carolina Carriage Company, fun fall games on the outfield, tunes with Soundstorm DJ and face-painting. All kids can also run the bases on the field and test out their throwing arms with the Crawdads Speed Pitch. Don't worry about eating before the event or leaving hungry, as $1 hot dogs and fountain sodas will be accompanied by FREE popcorn! Everyone is also invited to wear their Halloween costumes one last time and collect some extra Halloween candy, as well as one complimentary ticket good for any Crawdads home game in April or May this season.
The Crawdads will also be holding a coat drive at the Autumn Bash, and are asking for help to make sure that everyone in our community has the chance to stay warm this winter. All fans that donate a coat at the Autumn Bash will also receive a complimentary ticket for an April or May game in 2010.
