Edinburg, Texas--- The Edinburg Roadrunners are planning to make a solid run at the 2010 ULB Championship by exercising the option on several of their top 2009 performers. Vince Moore was very happy with the majority of the team that was assembled in 2009 that finished in second place. The Roadrunners boasted a league high 12-game winning streak in August and will be looking to add just a few pieces to their roster puzzle.The pitching staff will have top winners Tim Haines and Miguel Martinez back on the mound along with closer Kelly Casares the field the teams MVP Robert Matlock has been selected to return. Matlock hit while playing in all but one of the Roadrunners games last season. In addition, Wilmer Pino Vincent Blue Bryon Smith and Carlos Hereaud have had their options exercised for the 2010 season.
More roster spots will be filled as the off season heats up with an eye toward Opening Day 2010 in early May.
