San Angelo, Texas--- Skipper Doc Edwards, and the San Angelo Colts, look to continue the offensive production from 2009 returning RBI and homerun leader Jason Landreth, Nick Mahin, Josh Collazo, Hank Lanto, and Charley Belew for the 2010 season.Designated hitter Jason Landreth led the ULB with 18 homeruns and 69 RBI's in his 2009 campaign. Landreth was always ready when his name was called being just one of two Colts to participate in all 80 regular season games. Outfielder Nick Mahin added a .248 batting average while driving in 41 runs, including five dingers. First Baseman Josh Collazo joined the Colts from Oklahoma Baptist University. In his rookie year, Josh was a threat in the middle of the order contributing a good glove on the right side of the infield.
Catcher Hank Lanto saw more time behind home plate than any other Colt in 2009. In 48 games, the left-handed batter hit .219, adding eight extra-base hits and 21 runs batted in. ASU graduate and middle Infielder Charley Belew is a valuable commodity for Edwards being able to play multiple positions.
The San Angelo Colts would like to extend their gratitude to our supporters in the community. There is one reason why the Colts are San Angelo's most affordable family fun, and that is because of you. We look forward to continued excellence in the 2010 season and we'll see you opening day!
