Marlies Announce 2009-10 Tv Schedule

The Toronto Marlies announced Saturday that their 31 game television schedule for the upcoming season will continue today when they host the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, in their fourth home game of the season live at 3:00 p.m. The Marlies home opener marked the first of 31 games that will air live on Rogers TV (Cable 10/63) which will be comprised of Friday, Saturday and Sunday home dates plus a bonus holiday game on December 30.

"We're excited to extend our partnership with Rogers for a second consecutive season to bring Marlies game broadcasts to Rogers Cable viewers across Toronto," said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. "Rogers TV was a great television partner last season and we look forward to them covering another exciting season of Marlies hockey."

The television play-by-play duties will be handled by the voice of the Marlies, John Bartlett, who returns for his fifth season calling the action. Former NHLer and Toronto Maple Leaf, Bob McGill, will join Bartlett for his second season in the booth.
