PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - While fishermen across Florida will begin
harvesting stone crab claws along the coasts as stone crab season
begins, fans of the Charlotte Stone Crabs baseball team can receive a
free $50 gift card to the Team Store at Charlotte Sports Park if they
purchase a new Full Season Seat package on Thursday, October 15, in
honor of the big fishing day.The $50 gift card is good for any item at the Team Store, but fans are only eligible to receive the card if they purchase their new Full Season Seat package from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15. Any seat package purchased before or after that date will not receive the gift card. Full Season Seat packages are currently on sale and start at just $285 for the Stone Crabs 2010 season by calling 941-206-HITS (4487) or visiting the front office at Charlotte Sports Park. Packages include every Stone Crabs 2010 home game, four premium giveaway items and a variety of other Season Seat holder perks.
"At this time last year, we hadn't announced our team name, so we're excited to bring a little more attention to the opening day of a very important time for our local fishermen," said Joe Hart, general manager of the Stone Crabs baseball team. "We hope it's a very productive season for the fishermen, and we hope this offer gives another example of the value of Minor League Baseball in this community."
