Aeros Announce 1070 KNTH As Flagship Station

October 2, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL) Houston Aeros

HOUSTON - The Houston Aeros announced today 1070AM (KNTH) will be the flagship station for radio broadcasts for the 2009-10 American Hockey League season. KNTH will broadcast 74 games this season, including 64 games in full and 10 afternoon games joined in progress at 5:00 PM. News Talk 1070 KNTH-AM is a part of Salem Communications Corporation, the leading radio broadcaster focused on family themed programming. The six games not broadcast this season on KNTH are due to preemptions with college football.

"KNTH has been a great radio partner for us and we are thrilled to rejoin them for another season of Aeros hockey," said Courtney Eidman, Aeros Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

Joe O'Donnell, 29, returns for his second season as Houston Aeros' Director of Broadcasting and will broadcast all Aeros games on KNTH this season. Tune into KNTH tonight as the Aeros open the regular season against the Manitoba Moose, 7:30 PM at the MTS Centre.

The team returns to Toyota Center for Houston's home opener October 9 against the Texas Stars. For more information on season and group tickets, along with 10-game voucher plans, visit aeros.com or call 713-974-PUCK (7825).
