Individual Game Tickets On Sale

Brandon, Manitoba -- Western Manitoba hockey fans looking to secure tickets to the Wheat Kings' remaining regular season games can do so now as Individual Game tickets go on sale Tuesday morning at the Keystone Centre box office.

In addition to the box office, fans can order online at ticketmaster.ca or by calling 726-3555.

The Wheat Kings will kick off a 4-game home stand this weekend with games against Red Deer and Saskatoon on Friday and Saturday nights respectively. Friday is Manitoba Hydro Fridge Magnet Schedule Giveaway night, with the first 2,500 fans in attendance to receive one. This year's schedule features all star center Brayden Schenn.

Schenn could be in the lineup Friday night as he was returned to the Western Hockey League club on Monday by the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings.

As well, there is still time to buy 2009-10 Season Tickets and at least for now you can guarantee a seat for the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup. The Wheat Kings can sell up to 3,652 Memorial Cup ticket packages locally and as of this week, the Western Hcokey League club had sold 3,529 Season Tickets.

A crowd of 5,280 turned out to see the Wheat Kings blank Swift Current 3-0 in their 2009 Home Opener last Friday night.

The deadline for those fans to purchase their Memorial Cup ticket packages from the Canadian Hockey League is Thursday, October 15th.
