Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have released two players from their tryout agreements. The Falcons now have 22 skaters and four goaltenders remaining on their roster.

The Falcons open their 2009-10 regular season schedule on Saturday, October 3 when they host the Portland Pirates starting at 7:00 pm at the MassMutual Center. The Falcons will be entering their 16th American Hockey League season and third year with their National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers.
