Chivas USA's Claudio Suárez removed from Disabled List, eligible for MLS action

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, September 15, 2009) - Chivas USA has activated Claudio Suárez from the Disabled List, making the veteran defender eligible for MLS action for the remainder of the 2009 season. Suárez had been added to the DL on July 7 after the Mexican National Team legend suffered a right calf strain on June 27 in Chivas USA's 1-1 draw with Mexican club San Luis in SuperLiga 2009. Today is Major League Soccer's Roster Freeze Date, the last day teams can add players to their rosters this season.

After Chivas USA travels to face Seattle Sounders FC this Saturday, Sept. 19 at 12:00 noon PT (TV: Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Español; RADIO: W Radio 690 AM), the Red-and-White return for the historic ChivaClásico against Chivas de Guadalajara on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8:00 p.m. PT at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena.
