SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm have
announced their player appearances for the 2009 Minnesota State Fair, which runs
from Aug. 27-Sep. 7. This year at the Swarm's "Buzz Zone" stand, forwards Sean
Pollock and Colin Achenbach will join Swarm Performance Team Members during the
times listed below to sign autographs and interact with fans. Swarm mascot,
"Buzz" will also be making appearances throughout the fair during selected days
at the State Fair Parade from 2:00-3:00 PM.On Saturday, August 29 from 10:00-4:00PM the Swarm will be hosting a Stick Tricks Competition where fans can come out and showcase their best tricks in 60 seconds. The top 10 participants will be featured on mnswarm.com where visitors will be able to vote for their favorite. The winner receives a pair of 2010 Swarm season tickets valued at $536.00.
The "Buzz Zone" will be located in the Fan Central section of the Fair, which is on the corner of Dan Patch Ave. and Underwood St. near the Grandstand At the stand, fans will also be able to purchase team merchandise, receive information about 2010 season tickets and participate in the interactive lacrosse shooting game.
