Kevin Frandsen drilled a ninth inning single into centerfield to score a pair of runs as the Fresno Grizzlies came from behind to defeat the Zephyrs 6-5 on Friday night in front of 10,111 fans at Chukchanski Park in Fresno. The loss is the Z's third consecutive.

The Z's scored first with a John Lindsey RBI single in the first inning. Fresno followed with a Clay Timpner solo home run to tie the game with lead off homer in the bottom of the first. The Grizzlies scored runs in the fourth and fifth to take a 3-1 lead. The Zephyrs rallied in the eighth inning with a Lee Mitchell RBI single. Alejandro De Aza drove home a pair to give New Orleans the lead.

The newest Zephyr Lee Mitchell woke up on Friday in Chattanooga, Tennessee was promoted from Double A Jacksonville and flew cross country to join the Z's on Friday. He started at second base and had two hits and two runs batted in.

Fresno rallied in the bottom of the ninth inning with three consecutive singles scoring a pair of runs to defeat the Zephyrs 6-5. Felix Romero gets a blown save victory for Fresno. Nate Field suffered the loss for the visiting Z's.

New Orleans is now 0-3 on the west coast rod trip and has lost seven in a row in Fresno dating back to 2005.

Game Notes: Outfielder Cameron Maybin was placed on the disabled list with sore back. Lee Mitchell was promoted from Jacksonville. The walk off loss was the Zephyrs sixth this season.

Coming Up: Fresno will host the Zephyrs at Chukchanski Park for the final game of the four game set. New Orleans will start LH Willie Collazo (8-4, 3.47) against RH Waldis Juaquin (4-5, 3.75) at 9:05 central time. RADIO: AM 690 WIST
