(July 15, 2009 - Glens Falls, NY) The Adirondack Phantoms are offering all local hockey fans the chance to personally choose their seats for the 2009-10 season as the team hosts Select-A-Seat Day on Saturday, July 18 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

This event is open to the general public. Fans interested in 2009-10 full-season or mini-plan ticket packages are invited to the Glens Falls Civic Center to "test drive" various seat locations. Phantoms ticket services representatives will be on hand to assist fans in selecting the location and package that works best for them.

"Select-A-Seat Day will be the first opportunity for our fans to meet Phantoms front office staff and take a look at open seats around the Civic Center," said Mike Thompson, Phantoms Vice President of Business Operations. "Also, there will be free popcorn, $1 hot dogs, and floor hockey for the kids."

In addition to picking out their preferred seats for the 2009-10 season, Phantoms fans will be able to meet Phantoms players Jonathan Matsumoto and David Laliberte. Also, fans can enter a drawing to win tickets to the first appearance of the Adirondack Phantoms in Glens Falls on September 25th as the team takes on the Albany River Rats in the first exhibition game of the season.

Adirondack Phantoms ticket packages are on sale now and great seats are still available but going fast! The Phantoms offer a variety of 2009-10 ticket packages, and are available now at the Phantoms office inside the Glens Falls Civic Center or by calling 518-480-3355.

Opening Night 2009 is Saturday, October 3rd. Opponents and start times will be announced when the complete 2009-10 American Hockey League schedule is released later this summer. In operation since 1936, the AHL will again serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams when its 74th season gets underway on Friday, October 2nd.
