Quad Cities River Bandits News Release

There are some events that you just can't miss -- some events that folks will talk about for years to come. Bandits fans, Sunday, July 26, is one of those events! It's the Mega-Candy Drop, and we are going to give candy away to all kids 12 and under -- lots of it -- and then we are going to make it rain marshmallows!

Between the first-rate hot dogs and ice cream, the dizzying array of novelty items in the Team Store, and the excitement of the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone, there is never a shortage of family fun to be had at Modern Woodmen Park. However, this July 26 event will turn everything you know about fun right on its head!

On this very special U.S. Bank Family Sunday, the Quad Cities River Bandits will make the dreams of Quad City Area youngsters come true with our inaugural Mega-Candy Drop!

After the 6:00 p.m. Sunday night ballgame, every kid in attendance will be invited to line up according to age in the Party Plaza. A helicopter from Rotor View Helicopters will make its way over the Modern Woodmen Park outfield, dropping thousands of lollipops and gummy bears along the way! Once finished, the youngsters, who will be separated by age, will be able to run to a specific part of the field to grab as much candy as they can!

And that's just the beginning! While the children are gathering their bounties, the helicopter will make another pass to drop marshmallows, saturating the skies with puffy white goodness. It will literally be raining marshmallows!

Opportunities to take in a must-see event such as this are scarce, so do yourself a favor and reserve your tickets to an event you and your kids will remember for years to come!

The Mega-Candy Drop at Modern Woodmen Park is less than two weeks away. DON'T MISS IT!!!
