Tippett Stops Streak

Snappers' starting pitcher Brad Tippett got the team back on the winning side Friday night at Pohlman Field as the Snappers took the final game against the South Bend Silver Hawks 5-1.
Tippett picks up his seventh win for the '09 season as he went seven innings of work, giving up zero runs in the contest. Tippett also struck out five hitters while scattering out five hits.
The Snappers got on the board first when Ozzie Lewis fly out to right as Aaron Hicks scored from third. Hicks had previously doubled and moved to third on a Ramon Santana ground out.
The Snappers took a 2-0 lead in the third when James Beresford scored on a Ozzie Lewis ground out.
