Whitecaps First Home Playoff Date Announced

COMSTOCK PARK -Whitecaps fans can get their first crack at individual playoff tickets when they go on sale Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. West Michigan's first home playoff game, powered by Honda Generators, will take place on Thursday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m.
The Whitecaps are also offering a Family 4-Pack deal for the game. The packages include four reserved seats, four hot dogs and four sodas for $44 or four lawns seats, four hot dogs and four sodas for $32. The packages can be purchased when tickets go on sale July 16.
A playoff special on group tickets is also available. Groups of 10 or more will receive a discount on their tickets. Usually, groups of 20 or more receive a discount. Group tickets can be reserved now
The first 1,000 fans will receive a Jeremy Bonderman bobblehead. The bobblehead features Bonderman in his Whitecaps camouflage alternate jersey that he wore during his rehab assignment with West Michigan. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
The game falls on an Altogas Thrifty Thursday and College Night. Fans can purchase two hot dogs, 20 oz. beers, 22 oz. sodas and soft pretzels for $2 each. Also, college students can get $5 reserved seats when they show their student ID. A Farm Bureau Insurance fireworks show and a post-game party on the Miller Lite House Deck will follow the game.
After winning the first half wild card, the Whitecaps are assured of a sixth straight postseason at Fifth Third Ballpark. They have reached the playoffs in 13 of the franchise's 16 seasons and have won five Midwest League titles, second only to the Appleton Foxes/Wisconsin Timber Rattlers who have won seven.
The Whitecaps return home Wednesday, July 15 to take on the Peoria Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Individual and group tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the West Michigan Glass Block Ticket Office at Fifth Third Ballpark, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131 or by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
