Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, Ala. - In addition to the Michael Jackson Tribute on Tuesday night at Hank Aaron Stadium, the Mobile BayBears are planning to stuff the All-Star ballots for former BayBear Mark Reynolds as he tries to become the Final Man on the National League All-Star team.
Best Buy will provide the BayBears with five wireless laptop computers and a support man to ensure that thousands of ballots will be punched on behalf of Reynolds who has smacked 24 home runs to go with 61 RBI for the Arizona Diamondbacks this season.
Reynolds was nominated as a candidate to become the National League's Final Man when the rosters for the 80th Annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game were announced on Sunday. Reynolds is hoping to join fellow former BayBears Justin Upton and Jason Bay in St. Louis on Tuesday, July 14 for the Midsummer Classic at Busch Stadium.
Every person who votes for Reynolds at "The Hank" on Tuesday will be entered into a drawing where they will win a piece of Mark Reynolds autographed memorabilia.
The Mobile BayBears have sent nearly 100 players to the major leagues. They battle the Lookouts in the finale of their four-game set on Tuesday night at 7:05 with Matt Torra (6-6, 3.69) getting the start. For Hank Aaron Stadium tickets, call (251) 479-BEAR or log on to www.mobilebaybears.com.
