North Division All-Star Rosters Announced

MARIETTA, GA - On Monday, the Southern League of Professional Baseball announced the North Division roster for the 2009 Southern League All-Star Game.

The North Division First-Half Champion Huntsville Stars dominate the list of selections with seven players. The Carolina Mudcats and Tennessee Smokes will add six players a piece to the All-Star roster. Chattanooga had four selections while West Tenn had two.

Players were selected by a vote of Southern League field managers, radio broadcasters, general managers and print media. All players on Southern League rosters as of June 10 were eligible in the voting.

The 2009 North Division All-Star team is listed alphabetically by position:

The Southern League will announce the South Division All-Star team on June 30. The starting lineup for the North Division will be released on July 1, followed by the South Division starting lineup on July 2.

Tickets to the 2009 Southern League All-Star Game as well as to the 2009 Southern League Home Run Derby and Celebrity Softball Game are available online at barons.com or by calling the Regions Park Box Office. Tickets for both events can also be purchased by visiting the Regions Park Box Office. The Barons won the South Division First-Half Title and will open the playoffs on Thursday, September 10 at Regions Park. Game two will be played Friday, September 11 at Regions Park.
