All-Star Testa Moves Up; Munroe Joins Club

Beloit Snappers All-Star reliever Joe Testa earned his promotion to the Ft. Myers Miracle on Thursday. In the first half Testa went 0-2 with an ERA of 2.56 in 45.2 innings, striking out 63 batters in the process.

To fill the twenty-five man roster, catcher Stewart Munroe, a 22nd round pick out of the University of Florida, will join the Snappers. The 5' 11", right handed catcher comes to Beloit after playing three years with the Gators.

Munroe will be joining the team in Clinton as the Snappers take on the Lumberkings to start off the second half Thursday night at Alliant Energy Field. The Snappers open the home portion of the second half on Tuesday, June 30th with a four game series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
