Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans' mascot, The Moose, and members of the Amerks staff have a busy weekend ahead as the team continues its offseason tour, making five stops in the Rochester community this weekend. The Moose kicks off his busy weekend on Saturday, June, 27th with his first of four appearances that day. The Amerks' furry friend, along with his mascot buddies, will take part in Rochester's annual "Fast and the Furiest", a city-wide effort to clean-up Verona St. from 8:00-10:00 a.m. From there, the Moose will head down to the Volunteers of America on Lake Avenue for Family Fun Day. The Moose will be on hand to greet families and sign autographs at the store location from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The Moose will make his third stop of the day as he joins the Amerks staff at Lake Ontario Beach Park for this summer's Harborfest. He can be found mingling with fans, giving out high-fives and posing for photos from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the children's area, located in the middle of the park. Fans can also stop by the Amerks table from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The staff will attend Harborfest from Friday, June 26th to Sunday, June 28th. During the three days, fans can stop by to sign up for raffle prizes and take home promotional items. Kids can also try their luck at the Amerks hockey inflatable and the Knighthawks lacrosse shot.

The Moose will make his last stop of the day at Gates-Chili High School to help kickoff the Gates Summer Celebration from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. The Moose will greet families and take on challengers in mini games. He will also be available for photos throughout the event.

The Moose wraps up his weekend on Sunday, June 28th as he rejoins the Amerks front office members for Day two at the Harborfest from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Make sure to keep a look out for information for the second season of The Moose's Kids' Club for the upcoming season, and for future Moose appearances. To request an appearance, please call Warren Kosel at (585) 454-5335, ext. 3025.
