***REMINDER: Today's game is at 10:35 AM as the Bisons host their annual SCHOOL KIDS DAY GAME

SCHOOLS IN SESSION: This morning's game is the Bisons annual School Kids Day. Over 11,000 children from schools ranging from Northern Pennsylvania to Niagara Falls are expected in attendance.

TODAY'S GAME: This morning, the Buffalo Bisons face the Indianapolis Indians in the third game of a four-game set at Coca-Cola Field (10:35 a.m.). The Bisons need to win today and tomorrow to earn a split as the Indians have won the first two games of the series. The Bisons will host the Durham Bulls for a four-game series after a league-wide off day on Wednesday.

VS. THE INDIANS: The Bisons are 0-2 against Indianapolis this year after losing the first two games of this series. Buffalo will travel to Indy for four games, July 24-27. The Bisons have not won a four-game series against the Indians since taking three of four in Indy, June 28 - July 1, 2004. Still, Buffalo owns the 48-41 edge over Indy since returning to the I.L. in 1998 (.539 pct.).

COACHING MOVE: The Bisons coaching staff will say good-bye to Coach Bobby Malek today. Malek has accepted the position of Hitting Coach for the Kingsport Mets, New York's rookie-level team in the Appalachian League. The 27-year old retired as a player in May of last season and served as a coach on the Mets Gulf Coast League team in 2008.

OH NELLY: RHP Nelson Figueroa has allowed three or fewer runs in seven of his eight starts with the Bisons this year. He is tied for 1st on the team with five quality starts and has allowed just 39 hits in 48.1 innings of work. Figueroa collected his first win on Tuesday with 7.2 innings of one-run baseball.

HITS KEEP COMING: OF Wily Mo Pena kept his hit streak going with a single in four trips to the plate yesterday. Pena has now hit in 13 straight games, four games longer than any other hit streak by a Bison this year. Since May 25, Pena has hit .327 (17-52) with a double, three home runs and eight RBI. The streak has raised his average 56 points from .200 to .256.

IMPRESSIVE DEBUT: INF Luis Rivera has hit in each of his first three games with the team. The 25-year old is 5-11 so far at the plate, good for a .455 batting average. This is Rivera's first stint at Triple-A in his 5-year career.

MEET THE METS: The Mets (30-25) blew out the Nationals yesterday, 7-0. New York scored five in the first inning and never looked back. Livan Hernandez delivered seven shutout innings to improve to 5-1 on the year and lower his ERA to 3.88. Former Bisons OF Fernando Martinez doubled and score a pair of runs. Off tonight, the Mets will open up a three game series against the Phillies on Tuesday.
