Fresno Grizzlies News Release
FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies will welcome division rivals the Las Vegas 51s to Chukchansi Park beginning on Monday, May 4th. Every day of the four-game homestand features some of the best entertainment value in the Valley and the team will host its first signature theme night of the 2009 campaign, Nerd Night, on Wednesday, May 7th.
The Las Vegas 51s make their first trip to Downtown Fresno as the top farm club of the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, May 4th. Like all Monday's at Chukchansi Park, the series opener means the best sports entertainment value in Minor League Baseball, Monday Madness presented by ABC30. For just $22, fans get two Field Level Reserve Tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, two Wild Water Adventure Park passes, and two rounds of mini-golf at Blackbeard's.
May 5th is "All You Can Eat Tuesday" presented by Mega 97.9. Grizzlies fans can get a ticket to the game, and enjoy all the hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, soda, and water they can handle until 8:30pm for just $15.
On Wednesday, May 6th, the Grizzlies will present their first signature theme night of the 2009 season, Nerd Night, in honor of the opening of the new Star Trek movie in theaters next weekend. The evening at Chukchansi Park will celebrate not just the stereotypically "nerdy" things that people enjoy, but give fans an opportunity to express, and learn, that EVERYONE is a "nerd" about something.
Nerd Night is also a Way Back Wednesday at Chukchansi Park, presented by the Fresno Bee. Kids under the age of 12, seniors over the age of 55, and active military personnel with ID can get a ticket to the game for just $2.
The Grizzlies and 51s will wrap up their four-game set on Thirsty Thursday, May 7th, presented by Tecate. Beginning when the gates open at 6:05pm, fans can take advantage of 12oz Tecate and Tecate Light beers for just $1 until the end of the 5th inning, and $1 sodas all night long. New for 2009 is the opportunity to purchase a 20oz. beer for just $2.
The Grizzlies return from a weekend trip to Tacoma to open a four-game homestand against division rival the Las Vegas 51s. For information regarding season tickets, single-game tickets, or the Grizzlies promotional calendar, call 559.320.HITS or visit the new-and-improved FresnoGrizzlies.com
