Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI- Milwaukee Admirals Governor/CEO Harris Turer announced today that the team's final regular season attendance of 235, 107 was a 6.5% increase over attendance during the 2007-08 campaign.

"We are grateful to our fans for all of their fantastic support this season," said Turer. "We all know that in these tough economic times people are very careful with how they spend their discretionary income and we are honored that they chose to come to an Admirals game and get first-class entertainment at a very reasonable price."

Over the course of their 40-game home schedule at the Bradley Center the Admirals averaged 5,873 fans which the 11th best in the AHL and over 700 fans per game better than the league average. In addition, the total attendance was the most the team has drawn in the four seasons since Turer purchased the Admirals, and it was the highest overall for the organization since Milwaukee's first year in the AHL in 2001-02.

The Admirals largest crowd of the season came on March 28th when the team drew 15,602 fans, which was the fourth largest crowd in the league this year and one of five occasions when the Ads posted attendance figures over 10,000. Milwaukee also reached five digits on January 2nd, January 23rd, February 21st, and Sunday, March 1st.

As is the case in many years, the Admirals crowds grew dramatically larger after Christmas. Beginning December 26th and running through the end of the season the Admirals averaged over 6,400 fans per game. In the team's last 11 games of the season, from February 27th to April 10th, the Ads drew 7,766 fans per contest.
