USHL Playoff Dates Finalized

Waterloo, Iowa-The Waterloo Black Hawks will meet the Green Bay Gamblers for a first-round Clark Cup playoff series beginning Thursday. The first game of the Hawks-Gamblers best-of-five match-up will be played at the Resch Center.

The dates, venues, and times for each game are listed below:

Thursday, April 9 at the Resch Center, 7:05 Saturday, April 11 at the Resch Center, 7:05 Wednesday, April 15th at Young Arena, 7:05 Friday, April 17th at Young Arena, 7:05** Saturday, April 18th at the Resch Center, 7:05**

"Playoff hockey is something special," said Waterloo Black Hawks Head Coach P.K. O'Handley. "Our guys, and the other teams that are still playing, have been working all season to get to this point. There's always extra excitement about postseason games, and I really expect this series with Green Bay to be a good one."

The Gamblers are the USHL Eastern Division champs and, with the highest point total during the regular season, winners of the Anderson Cup. Waterloo went 1-5-1 against the Green Bay this season, with the Gamblers taking a decisive 13-3 advantage in standings points. Green Bay won all three games at the Resch Center. Craig Smith, Patrick Wey, George Hughes, and Tyler Barnes each had four points against the Gamblers, while Michael Forney led Green Bay against the Hawks with six goals and six assists. The last playoff series between the Black Hawks and Gamblers was in 2000, won by Green Bay three-games-to-one. The series was decided with a 4-3 Gambler win that ended after 53:55 of overtime, early on the morning of April 4, 2000.

Individual game tickets for the dates at Young Arena will be available from the Black Hawk ticket office beginning Monday April 13th at 11:30AM. Online orders will begin this Tuesday, April 7th at 11:30AM. Walk-up tickets by section are $11 in blue zones, $13 in white zones, and $15 in red zones. There is a $1 discount for students, seniors, and active-duty military personnel. Playoff packages which guarantee the same seats for the Hawks' entire Clark Cup playoff run are also available.
