CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN

Chicago exploded for 12 goals in its past two games - which includes a season-high seven tallies on March 13 - after scoring 12 markers in the previous six games; the Wolves have notched a 17-3-0-0 record when scoring four or more goals in a game this season and are netting an average of 2.87 goals per game this season, which ranks 17th in the AHL.

--- CLAY WILSON: Dished out four assists in three games this week, which includes matching a team season-high three helpers on March 13 ... Tallied seven points (G, 6A) in the last six games ... Ranks third among AHL defensemen with 12 goals, and ranks second on Chicago and seventh among league blueliners with 39 points in 60 outings this season ... Ranks second on the Wolves with 27 assists, 16 of which have come while on the power play ... Registered 19 points (4G, 15A) in 27 games with Chicago, since being acquired in a trade on Jan. 14 and 20 points (8G, 12A) in 33 tilts with the Syracuse Crunch

--- RILEY HOLZAPFEL: Recorded four points (2G, 2A) during a current four-game point streak, which is a season-high ... Leads team rookies and ranks fourth on the club with 30 points in a team-high 68 outings this year ... Holds first among team first-year pros with 12 goals and 18 assists ... Registered a plus or even rating in the last 12 outings on the way to earning a +12 plus/minus rating, which is fourth-best on the Wolves

--- ONDREJ PAVELEC: Stopped all five attempts in the shootout to notch his third shootout win of the season with a 30-save performance in regulation and overtime on March 14 ... Posted a 17-15-1 record in 33 appearances this season ... Ranks 12th in the AHL with a 2.45 goals-against average and shares 11th in the league with a .917 save percentage ... Has held opponents to one or fewer goals 11 times this season and has surrendered two or fewer goals in 20 of his 33 contests

--- STEVE MARTINS: Matched a season-high two goals and three points on March 14 ... Posted four points (3G, A) in three games this week in his return to the Wolves lineup after an 18 game absence ... Tied for fifth on the club with 27 points (11G, 16A) and has racked up 44 penalty minutes and a + 4 plus/minus rating in 44 games this season

--- Chicago sits in third place in the West Division with 73 points (35-31-2-1) through 69 games; the Wolves trail the second-place Houston Aeros, who hold two games in hand, by two points and hold a one point advantage over the Rockford IceHogs and Peoria Rivermen, who share fourth place with two games in hand each.

--- Chicago earned its seventh shootout victory of the season on Saturday, which shares the league lead; the Wolves have played past regulation 13 times this season (3-8-2), and rank second in the AHL with an .885 winning percentage in extra time.

--- The Wolves have bagged five power play goals in the last two games (5 of 18) after being held to one man-advantage strike in their previous five outings (1 of 24); Chicago ranks 24th in the league with a 15.2 percent efficiency rating on the man-advantage (58 of 381).

--- Chicago's victory on Saturday marked the third time the club has won when trailing after two periods (3-19-0-0); conversely, Chicago has posted a .917 mark when leading after 40 minutes of play (27-2-1-0).

--- The Wolves killed off 11 of their opponents 14 power-plays in the last three games; Chicago shares 21st in the league with an 81.4 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill (285 of 350).

--- The Wolves clawed their way back from a 3-2 third period deficit and took the West Division-leading Milwaukee Admirals to a shootout, emerging with a 5-4 win before a season-high crowd of 12,899 at the Allstate Arena Saturday night
--- Forwards STEVE MARTINS (2G), RILEY HOLZAPFEL and JORDAN LaVALLEE scored in regulation while right wing JOE MOTZKO tallied the lone shootout goal for Chicago
--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC thwarted 30 of 34 shots in regulation and overtime and blanked the Admirals on five attempts in the shootout

Fri., March 13

--- The Wolves erupted for three goals in the first 1:56 of the games and didn't let up, earning a 7-4 victory over the Iowa Chops at the Allstate Arena Friday night
--- Left wing BRETT STERLING (2G, 2A) paced a pack of six Wolves with multiple points
--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC posted 20 saves on 24 shots

--- The Wolves gave up a third-period goal to snap a 1-1 tie and help the Iowa Chops earn a 2-1 victory at the Allstate Arena Wednesday night
