Kamloops Blazers News Release
BLAZERS FINISH AT 500
Ian Duval scored twice and added two assists as the Kelowna Rockets downed the Blazers 7-1 at Prospera Place on Saturday night. The Rockets led 3-0 after one and 4-0 after two and led 6-0 before CJ Stretch's powerplay goal broke Adam Brown's shutout bid with eight minutes to play. Final shots were 39-19 Rockets with Jon Groenheyde taking the loss. The Blazers were 1-for-6 on the powerplay while the Rockets were 2-for-9. The loss, coupled with Seattle's victory on Saturday, drops the Blazers into 6th place into conference. For their first round series, they will face the 3rd seed in the West - still to be determined between Kelowna and Spokane. The series will open on Friday in either of those two cities.
