'24 Hours of Chivas USA' hits L.A. LIVE Tuesday

CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, March 14, 2009) - Ahead of its March 21 season opener, Chivas USA is bringing its colorful gameday experience to the streets of downtown Los Angeles, as it celebrates the first-ever '24 Hours of Chivas USA' at L.A. LIVE. For 24 consecutive hours, the Major League Soccer club will be on-site at NOKIA Plaza with a unique interactive fan experience featuring music, prizes and appearances by players and the ChivaGirls, as well as a mini-soccer field where fans can show off their skills.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, prior to the Lakers game vs. Philadelphia, and continuing nonstop until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, prior to the Clippers game vs. Washington, the '24 Hours of Chivas USA' will kick off with a special ChivaGirls dance team presentation, followed by the Mascots Game, where popular SoCal sports mascots will face off in a mini-soccer match.
Chivas USA will be on-site throughout St. Paddy's Day night, and on Wednesday morning will offer free breakfast for fans courtesy of ESPN Zone L.A. LIVE. The '24 Hours of Chivas USA' wraps up Wednesday afternoon, when players and coaching staff will be on hand to take Chivas USA's Official 2009 Team Photo, before the event's Closing Ceremony at 5 p.m. featuring the ChivaGirls. Admission to the '24 Hours of Chivas USA' is free and fans are welcome to join in the party. Spots are filling up quickly for the mini-soccer games, so teams interested in participating should call (310) 630-4581 to reserve their timeslot.
