Crunch Defenseman Jonathan Sigalet to Participate in Mission Steps Walk

Syracuse, NY (March 5, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that defenseman Jonathan Sigalet will be participating in the Mission Steps Walk to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Resources of Central New York this Sunday, March 8 at the Carousel Center.

Sigalet is an avid supporter of Multiple Sclerosis charities. His brother, Jordan, a former American Hockey League goaltender who is now playing professionally in Austria despite suffering from the debilitating disease, has become an advocate for awareness and has his own website, www.shutoutms.com.

Jordan's story has been featured in such publications as USA Today, Sports Illustrated, and Men's Health. He is a former Hobey Baker Award finalist, which is given annually to U.S. College Hockey's top player and was nominated for an ESPY in the Best Comeback category in 2005.

In addition, Jonathan will be signing autographs on the concourse during the Crunch's game on Friday, March 6 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Fans can support the cause by donating $5 in exchange for an autographed 8 x 10 photo of Sigalet with the proceeds going to the Multiple Sclerosis Resources of Central New York.
