Jeff Hamilton Signs With Toronto Maple Leafs

Chicago Wolves right wing JEFF HAMILTON been signed by the National Hockey League's Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 31-year-old forward ranks first on Chicago and shares 18th in the American Hockey League with 53 points, and paces the club and shares 14th in the league with 37 assists in 50 outings. HAMILTON also shares third on the Wolves with 16 goals and has tallied at least one point in 33 of his 50 outings this season, which includes 12 multiple-point performances - six of which were three or more.

The Englewood, Ohio, native, notched 15 assists and 24 points in 58 games with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes last season. He also appeared in nine matchups with the Albany River Rats (AHL), collecting three goals and nine points. Overall, HAMILTON has registered 29 goals, 42 assists and 71 points in 142 career NHL outings with the Hurricanes, New York Islanders and Chicago Blackhawks.

The Yale University graduate has tallied 131 goals, 138 assists and 269 points in 292 career AHL games in parts of six seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2002-04, 2005-06), Hartford Wolf Pack (2004-05), River Rats (2007-08), and Wolves (2008-09).
