Admirals, WSSP Extend Radio Deal

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals Governor/CEO Harris Turer and Sports Radio 1250 AM WSSP VP/Market Manager Alan Kirshbom announced today that WSSP will continue to serve as the Admirals flagship radio station for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.

The Admirals, the first professional sports team to call WSSP home, will continue to broadcast all 80 of their regular season games as well as all Calder Cup Playoff contests at 1250 AM and also on the internet at www.sportsradio1250.com. Aaron Sims is currently in his fourth season giving his description of the games as the team's play-by-play broadcaster. In addition to the games the Ads also have a weekly one hour radio show, entitled Milwaukee Admirals Center Ice, which airs every Monday during the hockey season from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to continue our relationship with Sports Radio 1250 WSSP," said Turer. "They have done an outstanding job of delivering first-class broadcasts and also helping to promote Admirals hockey in the process."

WSSP is Milwaukee's home for local sports talk personalities Doug Russell, Mike Wickett, Steve "Sparky" Fifer, Josh Vernier, Gary Ellerson, and Tim Allen as well as national talents Jim Rome and Dan Patrick. The station also serves as Milwaukee's outlet for select University of Wisconsin Basketball, Milwaukee Bucks, and Milwaukee Brewers' games.

"We are very pleased to renew our relationship with the Admirals" Kirshbom said. "They continue to provide Milwaukee Hockey fans with one of the best entertainment values in the region!"

The Admirals are back in action next Thursday and Friday when they play host to the Iowa Chops for two straight games.
