Major League Lacrosse Reopens Player Pool

February 23, 2009 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL)

Boston, Mass. (February 23, 2009) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, today announced that registration for the League Player Pool has been reopened for a two week period which began this morning at 9:00 AM ET.

Following recent announcements regarding team locations and expanded pre-season rosters, MLL has made the decision to allow an additional registration period to encourage participation by athletes in local markets who may have missed the previous registration period.

Registration will remain open through Monday, March 9 at 12:00 PM ET. Registrations received after the deadline will not be accepted.

In order for a player to be eligible to participate in any MLL game, practice, training camp, and/or team tryout, the player must be registered in the League Player Pool. Players interested in registering should download the 2009 MLL Player Pool Entry Form and follow all instructions completely, paying careful attention to the information regarding eligibility and submission procedures.

Those players who are already members of the League Player Pool, including those who registered prior to the December 5 deadline to be eligible for the 2009 Supplemental Draft, do not need to re-register. However, any member of the League Player Pool should notify the League Office if any of their contact information has since changed.

Major League Lacrosse Teams will begin holding training camps on Saturday, April 30.
