RoadRunners To Honor 2009 Arizona Teacher Of The Year

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, and the Kyrene Schools Community Foundation have partnered to honor Arizona's 2009 Teacher of the Year, Sarah Baird, when the RoadRunners welcome the Alaska Aces to US Airways Center Saturday.
A National Board Certified teacher since November 2004, Baird serves as math coach at Kyrene de las Lomas and Kyrene del Milenio in Phoenix. The Arizona Educational Foundation Teacher of the Year program is the only statewide recognition for teachers.
The RoadRunners conclude a season-long eight-game road trip at 8:00 p.m. Friday when they visit the Ontario Reign. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 7:45 p.m.
Phoenix returns to US Airways Center at 7:05 p.m. Saturday when they welcome the Alaska Aces.
