Force Hires New Media Relations Director

Allentown, PA - The Philadelphia Force is excited to announce a new edition to the family, Sports Information Director Brett Bush. Brett comes to the Force as a first year graduate student at Drexel University studying sports management while pursuing the field of sports information/media relations.

During Brett's tenure at Hofstra University, on Long Island, NY, he worked as an undergraduate student aid to the Sports Information/Athletic Communications department for three years. In that position Brett's duties ranged from official statistician for athletic teams to P.A. announcing, to gaining experience working with the media regarding athletic events and reporting scores and releases. While at Hofstra's radio station, 88.7FM WRHU, he hosted "News Line" for a year.

After graduating from Hofstra with a degree in business management, Brett worked at Enterprise Rent A Car as a management assistant for 5 ½ years while running his own office, and working as a liaison between Enterprise and Progressive Insurance Company.

For the past year Brett has worked as an accounting associate at Penncro Associates, as well as working for the Drexel University Athletic Operations office since last August.

Erin Statmore, Assistant General Manager of the Philadelphia Force had this to say about hiring Brett, "We are thrilled to add Brett to our staff for the upcoming 2009 season. Brett has some big shoes to fill after Tim Scholl stepped down. We are confident there will be an easy transition especially with all of the background Brett has in the Media Relations field."
