Express Sign South Florida Wide-Out

February 3, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Reading Express

Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has signed former LSU Tiger and South Florida Bull, Anthony "Amp" Hill.

Tony is a native of Jacksonville Florida and played High School football at First Coast High School. "Amp" was among the top ten receivers recruited in the country and was a unanimous first team All-American selection his senior year. He started his college career at LSU and was a part of the 2003 National Championship Team as a freshman. After a coaching change at LSU, Tony transferred to South Florida and played for Coach Jim Leavitt.

"Tony is a 6'3" 215lb wide-out. His height, speed and hands are very nice qualities for a receiver. We are excited to get a kid like Anthony on our roster. Anytime we can get a highly recruited D1 player on our roster is a nice situation. I look forward to "Amp" getting to Reading.

"Amp" was born on Christmas Day in 1984 and is the youngest of three children and his father is a Florida State Senator.
