SAN ANTONIO (January 16, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that goaltender Joel Gistedt has been reassigned to the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League.

Gistedt, a native of Uddevalla, Sweden, has played in 14 games with the Sundogs this season posting a 4-9-0-0 record with a .853 save percentage and stopping 330 shots.

The 21-year-old rookie appeared in one game with the Rampage on November 8, 2008 against Quad City. He replaced Josh Tordjman in the third period and stopped seven of nine shots on goal.

Gistedt was the Phoenix Coyotes' fourth choice, second round pick (36th overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft and joined the Rampage to fill Al Montoya's absence who was tending to a family matter.
